Dendi Sherpa

With years of experience as a mountain leader and an expedition chef, Dendi Sherpa is the operation manager and expedition leader here at Soul Himalaya Treks and Travel. Born in 1974 in Okhaldhunga, he began his career working as a kitchen boy for an Asian Trekking Company and has paved his way ever since to become a certified mountain leader. Whether it be his first ascent at the Pisang peak in 2001 or his summit of Mt. Everest in 2006, each experience is equally memorable and meaningful for him. He has guided treks in Nepal, Tibet, and India and has traveled to countries like Tibet, India, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg. His unwavering passion and enthusiasm for trekking and travel drive him to always strive for the better.

• Trekking guide training from the government of Nepal
• Climbing and mountaineering Training from Mountain Academy Nepal (MAN)
• Advance Backpacking Training Completed from Leave No Trace LNT/WWF
• High Altitude Risk Management and Leadership Training from Nepal Tourism Board NT
• French Guide Diploma Training( alliance Francaise) from a french institute 
• Cultural Tours training
• Joined the American mission Everest Discovery Expedition in 2003 
• Joined the Dhaulagiri expedition (Poland) as a guide managing the food and logistics at the base camp of Dhaulagiri
